You have arrived at Montien House on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, Thailand.

Koh Samui is the largest of three small islands set in the Gulf of Siam, about 700 kilometres south of Bangkok. There are many fine beaches, the sea is crystal clear and warm all year round. The scenery away from the beaches is stunning, with mountains, coconut groves, rock formations and waterfalls, well worth exploring.

Montien House is located in beautiful gardens right on the beach, ideal for swimming, snorkelling, strolling and sunbathing.

Montien House first opened its doors in 1992. It is a 56 room resort employing over 50 staff.

Montien House is a family owned resort with Khun Bpeh and Khun Ying Yai taking great interest in the day to day running as well as the guests who stay there, making sure everyone has a wonderful holiday they expect.

There is an excellent manager Khun Ying Lek, who speaks both English and German. The staff, too, are friendly, efficient and helpful, and will do their utmost to make you comfortable and happy.

Montien House is set in quiet and peachful gardens with direct access to the beach, the longest and most beautiful in Koh Samui, yet it is but a short walk to all the excitement that Chaweng has to offer.

Standard rooms are equipped with a ceiling fan, but air-conditioning can be obtained at a small extra cost. A few standard rooms have air-conditioning only.

The rooms are located in the gardens and are very popular with people wanting to meet new friends and acquaintances, and with young couples.

The beach and all the amenities of Chaweng are a short stroll away.

The spacious bedroom is well furnished and is available with twin or double beds. An extra bed can be added for a small charge. There is a sitting area, and small terrace, all rooms have a fridge and satellite T.V.

Superior Room

All the superior cottages at Montien House are detached, nestled inside a tropical garden. Each has its own terrace surrounded by plants and flowers, so your privacy is ensured.

The beach is a few metres away and the amenities of Chaweng are within a short stroll away.

The cottages have air-conditioning, a hot shower, satellite T.V and small fridge. They are all furnished to a very high standard, with a choice of double or twin beds.

An extra bed can be added for a small family at a small charge.

Deluxe Room (Beachfront Bungalow)

There are two beachfront cottages at Montien house, located just a few metres from the beautiful, white sand of the beach. One of them is adjoined to one of the cottages which makes it ideal for families, of those wanting inside access, for elderly companions perhaps. The spacious terrace, which extends around the side to the front of the cottage is great for relaxing, picnicing etc.

The bathroom has a hot shower, and there is air-conditioning, satellite T.V. and fridge.

The cottages are delightfully furnished and there is a double bed, an extra bed can also be added at a small charge. Please note: These cottages are extremely popular so it is advised that booking enquiries are made at least three months in advance.

Sunrise Suite

This special suite gets its name from the spectacular sunrise views that can be seen from the terrace, at day break. It makes a wonderful honeymoon hideaway, an ideal setting for a tropical wedding, with its spacious terrace which can accommodate up to twelve persons, or for any other celebrations you might want to make special. Inside it is furnished to a very high standard with Oriental style furniture. It has an elegant four poster bed, and teak floors.

There is a air-conditioning, safety deposit box, fridge, and satellite T.V.

There is an en suite bathroom, with a large custom made sunken bath, and an open air shower surrounded by plants and flowers. All very beautiful and tasteful. The Sunrise Suite aims to give you the utmost comfort and delight, and can only be described as exquisite.

The beachside restaurant is open from 7am - 11pm, and at night, dining there is particularly delightful and romantic. Thai and International menus are provided at reasonable prices, and the English speaking staff are always available to help you to get acquainted with their delicious food.

When you see the menu, put into an attractive hand-made wooden cover, you may be tempted to take one home as a souvenir! Montien House has live entertainment six nights weekly. You can dance under the stars to the music of a Phillipino trio, or sing along with a Folk and Blues singer, or listen to a Thai duo singing popular songs.

Alongside the beach, in an area Thai people call a Sala, are trained masseurs with Thai and oil massages, you can also have facial treatments, pedicures, manicures and hair braiding done. Feel the stress leaving your body as you are pampared from head to toe in a relaxing setting by the sea.
