Rocky Boutique Resort is a private and secluded bungalows Samui resort with 33 Thai cottages and villas. The resort is situated on the beach, with unparalleled views of the Gulf of Thailand, and only a short walk to downtown Lamai. Long tailed fishing boats can be seen daily as they depart or return home with their catch. Here is the ideal place to relax and feel free to enjoy the natural beauty of this amazing bungalows, Samui resort.

At Rocky Boutique Resort we have 2 swimming pools, one along the beachfront, one in the upper garden. Both have a large deck area where you can sit and relax, order a poolside snack or cocktail. Our restaurant is perched atop a large granite rock, overlooking the ocean. Dinner is eaten with the sound and sight of the waves rolling on to the beach.

The bright lights, bars and night life of Lamai Beach are less than five minutes drive away, and popular Chaweng Beach with it's colourful array of shops, bars and restaurants, is a 15 minute drive.

Rocky Boutique Resort has three secluded beaches enclosed by large outcrops of granite rocks which form idyllic sheltered coves. The seawater is crystal clear with beautiful corals and tropical fish ideal for snorkelling.

Unlike other Koh Samui bungalows resort, all our bungalows and villas are well spaced to offer a degree of privacy not available elsewhere. All our rooms have been recently refurbished and decorated. Our facilities are constantly maintained and we keep a high standard of cleanliness consistent with good hotels in Europe.

The Rocky Boutique Resort beachfront Samui bungalows run along the shoreline and each bungalow is approximately 5 metres from the sea. The ocean view bungalows are elevated to provide a magnificent view of the gulf of Siam and are approximately 25 metres from the beach. Our Samui bungalows are among the best bungalows Samui has to offer. Our Thai Villas are set even higher above, amidst palm trees and exotic planting, to give truly spectacular views.

Our Deluxe Jr. Suite Ocean view Rooms are our newest rooms at Rocky Boutique Resort. Completed in December 2006, these rooms are designed in the same style as the Jr. Suite Beachfronts and have all the same amenities including: TV and DVD player, CD Player, Minibar, Hot Shower, Air Conditioning, beautiful wood floors and ceilings, and stunning decorations and interiors carefully selected from Chiang Mai Province. Our Deluxe Family Oceanview is the perfect room for a family or two couples travelling together. The room consists of two bedrooms with an adjoining door, and two bathrooms.

Our Family Beachfront is a beautiful beachfront room designed with families in mind. Two Bedroom – comfortably sleeps six people- two storey villas each of approximately 120 square metres floor area. Modern Thai style setting with polished wooden floor boards. Traditional antique furnishings from Chang Mai. Open plan Living / Dining area with large sliding windows opening onto spacious balcony overlooking tropical gardens. American style kitchen, fully equipped with gas stove, microwave, sink and refrigerator. Granite work surface and hand made wood units with bar opening onto Living / Dining. Large deck area with teak outdoor furniture for alfresco dining, stepping down to tropical gardens through to pool.

Villas consist of two master bedrooms each with kingsize bed and luxurious ensuite bathroom, including marble surfaces and natural stone tiled floors. Our Deluxe Beachfront Suite is our most luxurious room. It is situated directly on the pinnacle between two of our four private beaches, and has gorgeous views of the ocean from its spacious balcony.

The room comes equipped with a fully stocked mini-bar, air conditioning, ceiling fans, television with DVD player, CD player, spacious bathroom and living area, a king sized bed, and luxurious furnishings. This is the perfect room for a couple or family looking for a bit of luxury on their holiday. The room size is approximately 64 sqm.

At Rocky Boutique Resort we pride ourselves on quality. We believe that while you're on holiday, you deserve to have the best of everything. For this reason we have spent many hours working in the kitchen, perfecting our homemade pizzas, fine meats, fresh seafood, and tasty Thai dishes.

We have several events at Rocky's Restaurant including beach barbecues, cocktail evenings, and Thai celebrations and we have the capability of arranging romantic private dinners in our sala and custom menus. WEDDING AT ROCKY RESORT

BUDDHIST WEDDING

In the Buddhist wedding, three to five Buddhist monks will be invited for the ceremony. The ceremony begins with prayer. First, the monks chant and then bless the bride and groom by linking their heads with joined loops of Sai Mongkon. Its meaning is that individual identity of the two people but destinies are linked. The head monk pours blessed water over the hands of the bride and the groom; the water is collected in a bowl of ornamentally arranged flowers. The guests of the bride and the groom also bless the couple on the water blessing alter. The happy couple then present a food offering to the monks (provided by the resort) . This ceremony normally takes place around 10am and must end before 12 noon as Buddhist monks are not allowed to eat anything after that time. Also, at this time a donation of money is given to the monks for their temple as a way of showing acknowledgement and giving thanks.

TRADITIONAL WEDDING

The day begins with breakfast, followed by a consultation with the celebrant to go over any details of the ceremony. The bride will be given the use of a room to prepare, and the groom will be given a separate room. At the appropriate time our staff, dressed in traditional Thai outfits, will lead the groom and his party to our Sala, where the wedding will be performed by an experienced Pastor. The groom will be followed by the bride later on and the ceremony will begin and vows will be exchanged.

LEGALITY INFORMATION

Arranging legally recognized marriages in Thailand can be very complicated. Typically, you have to spend three to five days in Bangkok dealing with a variety of government offices before you can get your marriage certificate.

Our air conditioned conference room is like none you have ever seen, fully decorated with beautiful artwork and furnishings from Chiang Mai.
