Chill by the pool
If a nice view of the pool is what you are looking for, chill is
located poolside, where you can enjoy lunch in a relaxed atmosphere.
During the day, savour succulent seafood, pizzas and fresh salads
prepared in local and international style. Come the twilight, romance
fills the air, and with the fading of the golden sun, candlelight takes
its place. Dine on Mediterranean specialties in the sea breeze. 09.00 –
07.00 pm
Food 9 Degrees North
The resort’s main bar, named for the island's location nine degrees
north of the equator, commands dramatic views of Chaweng Bay. 9 Degrees
North offers a selection of snacks, and a refreshment list featuring
house special tropical cocktails, old favourites, local & international
beers and an extensive wine list. Nightly live entertainment. Internet
lounge & library. 09.00 – midnight
Lobby Lounge
The bright and cheery lobby lounge offers a delightful setting for a
leisurely 'Afternoon Tea' or to unwind after dinner. Mingle, meet and
make new friends at the lobby lounge, adjoining the reception area.

class – a feast for the senses
Thai food is popular the world over – so
little wonder the Thai cooking classes and local jungle market
tours at New Star Beach Resort – Koh Samui are easily the most
popular activities in the resort.
Currently the resort offers two options
for its culinary apprentices – a one hour cooking class which
takes place three times weekly and an expanded option which
includes a tour of a local market with the Thai Chef.
Thai cooking is a creative process that
is simple and lots of fun. In this course you will learn the
basic techniques and become familiar with the fresh herbs,
spices, and other ingredients which make Thai food delightfully
tasty.
We will explore different ways to blend
and balance the varied flavors to create a stimulating array of
unique tastes. Through demonstration and hands-on experience, we
will prepare together an assortment of exquisite dishes, from
hot and sour soup, curry and spicy salad.
Our “Hands-on” cooking classes are
conducted in the Thai sala, next to the pool. On completion of
the class, guests are served their culinary masterpieces at
Chill by the Pool. Each guest receives a set of recipes so they
can recreate the dishes at home to impress family and friends,
as well as a souvenir apron and a certificate.
