Santiburi Resort & Spa is a superb year round treasured paradise set amidst 23 acres of lush tropical gardens by Mae Nam beach. A team of local gardeners and groundskeepers keep the gardens well watered and cared for. Many of the plants are indigenous of the island, yet many others are not usually found here and were imported from several countries throughout Asia. Among these gardens is the resort's own vegetable, herb and spice garden used in fresh preparation of the finest Thai cuisine, Ice cream and teas served on Koh Samui.

At the northern tip of the island within easy access of the island's scenic attractions, it is situated in between the town of Nathon, Koh Samui's commercial center and Chaweng beach, the bustling tourist hub. These towns are located approximately 20 minutes by taxi or private car either way from the Santiburi Dusit Resort. Bohput or " Fisherman's village " among the oldest of Koh Samui's fishing hamlets stretching along the coastline is some 10 minutes drive from the resort, and is a favourite among visitors for dining out. Koh Phangan famous for its regular moon parties is a short boat ride across from the resort. Many favored diving spots are within easy reach and sailing arrangements can be made directly with the resort for a fee. Regular sailings are usually available from the main land at Surat Thani City or ferry from Don Sak pier. Sailing time is approximately two to three hours with disembarkation in Nathon. Samui airport is a 15-minute drive from the resort. Samui can be reached via regular scheduled direct flights from Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Phuket and Singapore.
