Thai Marriage Registration
If you require the wedding
registration to be made in Thailand, the local registrar
will sign the formalities in the hotel following the
ceremony, provided that all pre requisite papers have
been arranged by you, the bridal couple.
This is a full ceremony which
involves the chanting and blessing of Buddhist Monks. A
typical ceremony normally takes place in the morning
from 09:30 am until 12:00 noon. The schedule of
the ceremony is as follows:

1. 08:00 Wake up call … In room
Breakfast is served…
2. At 09.30 am. The long drum dance procession arrives
at the Bridal Suite to
escort the newly married couple to the venue ceremony.
3. The procession arrives at the Ceremony.
4. The bridal couple sits side by side at the bridal
table.
5. Buddhist religious ceremonial rites begin with
chanting and blessing by 3-5
monks. At this time holy candles are lit by the bridal
couple.
6. Sprinkling of holy water by the monks followed by a
blessing and the pouring of
holy water by the guests. The bridal couple exchange
rings (if applicable).
7. The bridal couple offer alms to the monks.
8. The bridal couple offer food or gifts to the monks.
9. The monks take their leave after lunch. Wedding
registration, (if required).
10. Followed by Rod-Nam-Sang or Water Blessing ceremony.
The most senior person will act as the leader of the
event or guests and Management staff will pour water
over the couple’s hands and wish them good luck. The
water is contained in a conch shell container. (Rod
stands for soak, Nam means water, Sang is the conch
shell). Pouring the water during Blessing Ceremony helps
clear your mind and rinse the bad thoughts away, it will
give you a new chance in life.

In order not to cause any
offence to the Thai monks it is advisable for the
wedding couple and guests to dress appropriately
according to custom and wedding tradition.

The schedule of the ceremony
is as follows:
1. The Celebrant arrives at the Wedding Ceremony Venue.
2. The guests are escorted by the Guest Relation Officer
from their room to the
wedding venue.
3. The bridal couple arrives at the venue where they are
received and greeted by the
Hotel Management, Staff, Friends and Family.
4. The Celebrant starts the Wedding Ceremony.
5. The bridal couple exchanges vows and Wedding rings.
6. The bridal couple lit the candles to be unified into
one.
7. Time to cut the Cake and open the Champagne!!!!
